Jesus said in Matthew 10:8 "freely you have received, freely give" which for me means to give what God has given me at no set fee to those that receive ministry. Those receiving our services are encouraged to participate financially with a donation. The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 9:11 that "if we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you?"  The Bible also says in 2 Corinthians 9 that a donation is acceptable according to what a man or woman has, not according to what he or she does not have; therefore no one will be refused because of their inability to make a donation. While donations are needed and appreciated, lack of finances should not be a determining factor in receiving the freedom that Jesus died to give us. He has already paid the price.
