Come to His Table…

Listen to this Communion Message from Pastor Ken Freeman

Before you begin in this most precious remembrance service of our Lord and Savior, follow the injuction in 1 Corinthians 11:28 to examine one’s self before taking communion.

Why do we take communion?
And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”. Why? For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:24-26 (NIV)

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:53-54 (NIV)

Prepare yourself spiritually for Holy Communion and then partake of the bread and fruit of the vine that represent the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Corporate Holy Communion in your local church is the best way to partake of the Lord’s Supper. But if you are a shut in, or homebound, or if you missed the last Holy Communion in your church and they don’t minister it weekly, or even if you should desire to partake more frequently than once a week, we encourage you to do this in your home, with the right heart, and the right focus. The purpose of this ministry will allow anyone to partake 24/7 in the Lord’s Supper, in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
