THE MESSAGE:
What the Bible says about Baptism
(*Source: Holy Spirit by Bryan and Katie Torwalt YouTube)
Through the generations, many have distorted ideas about baptism. A search on the web reveals a broad spectrum of teachings on baptism. We need not look to the internet to be our teacher. Let’s look to the very inspired Word of God about baptism.
Jesus charged his disciples to go into all the world, making disciples and “baptizing” them in the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. People do not fully understand what this term means. The primary meaning of the verb baptizein (1st Person βαπτίζω baptizô), from which the English verb “baptize” is derived, as “dip, plunge”, and indicates that the dipping or plunging need not be complete or when wine is drawn by dipping a cup in the bowl.
Let the LORD reveal to you the truth about baptism and if you have never been baptized, please call a local pastor and get baptized.
1.When you come to the LORD you are baptized into salvation into the body of Christ, which means baptized into the anointing of God. There is no name on earth other than Jesus, that gives you salvation.
2. Your outward demonstration publicly of what Jesus has done inside of you. This is command of Jesus to all who believe.
3. Wait until you are baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT which is when you are endued with God’s POWER for service.
